Cairns Convention Centre Expansion Various Trade/Projects

The Cairns Convention Centre is currently at capacity, due to a combination of population growth, increased tourism and demand for the number and increasing size of trade shows. The Cairns Convention Centre Expansion Project (CCCE) has been proposed to meet the need of the growing venue demand in Cairns to host multiple trade shows and conventions.

The Department of Housing and Public Works (DHPW) is the project principal/client and Lendlease Building has been appointed as the Managing Contractor of the CCCE project which includes detailed design and construction responsibility.

Ports North Repair and Recoat Steel Headstocks PN owns and maintains Commercial Fisherman’s Base No1 (CFB1) located on Smith’s Creek in the Cairns Seaport. CFB1 consists of a concrete deck on steel headstocks supported by steel piles. The steel headstocks and the steel piles are corroding above the waterline and the existing protective coatings are no longer effective. 21 Feb 2020

Powerlink Queensland Supply and Install of Medium Power Transformers

Invitations open by Powerlink Queensland for the establishment of a Standing Offer Arrangement for the supply and installation of medium power transformers.  The scope of the Works for each Contract that may be awarded under the Standing Offer includes the quality assurance, design, manufacture, factory testing, delivery to site (DDP), site erection, site testing and making good of defects during the Defects Liability Period of each type of power transformer for various transmission system requirements.
